A few good meals. One useful shopping list. Build a week that fits your schedule, your appetite and what is already in your kitchen.
Plan your week in three steps
- Check your calendar and pantry. Decide which nights you will cook, then note ingredients to use first.
- Choose meals and servings below. Leave busy evenings flexible and pick recipes with overlapping ingredients.
- Review your list. Check off pantry supplies, add household extras, then print or download it.

Three ways to make planning easier
Start with three dinners
You do not need seven ambitious recipes. Choose three meals, leave room for leftovers and add another dinner when your schedule is clear.
Give ingredients a second job
Use herbs in a dressing and a bowl, or serve a grain with two different meals. Check each recipe before buying to confirm quantities and preparation.
Keep a backup dinner
Choose a simple pantry meal for a change of plans. Beans, a grain and a sauce can give you a starting point without another shopping trip.
Shopping lists combine identical ingredient names and units. Review package sizes and recipes; ingredients written differently may appear separately.
